Sedona Art Festival
Susie Larsson
After Salmon Days in Issaquah the first weekend in October, I rented a car and loaded it up and hit the road on Tuesday to drive to Sedona, Arizona for my first show in one of my favorite places in the world.
Four days later, 1,400 miles later, and four states later, I landed in Sedona, Arizona. With very little time to spare, I checked into the hotel and drove over to the high school to set up. Being from the Northwest, our nights are longer compared to Arizona, when the sun sets, it becomes dark very fast.
Long days at the festival and beautiful music made for a beautiful weekend. On Sunday morning, I met Jeanne who owns a clothing boutique in Sedona, called Bilby & Moss. She will carry my jewelry line in the beginning of November. Very exciting news.
When I planned my business trip, I made sure to have an extra day to hike and I did wake up early this morning to hike and ended up trekking for 6 1/2 miles around Courthouse Butte and Bell Rock. Amazing! The energy of the vortex was fantastic.
Early tomorrow morning, I will make another shorter hike and climb up Bell Rock and then I am heading east to my next show in Austin, Texas. Stay tuned for updates as I head south-east.
