I’m so excited to be part of the Sweet Pea Festival in Bozeman, Montana again! Last year the weather was not on our side with extreme heat and when the heat broke, we had a downpour.
It’s always a great journey to travel from the Puget Sound, across Snoqualmie Pass and into Eastern Washington with miles and miles of open landscapes. When I travel to my art shows, whether it’s a 20 minute drive or a 23 hour drive, the journey is always exciting and memorable.
Going to the Sweet Pea Festival is bittersweet for me. I am now a jewelry artist, but back in the late 70’s and 80’s my family would drive from our home in Washington over to Bozeman, Montana where my mohter’s grandparents had a huge property up in Cottonwood Canyon. Their log cabin was small and cozy and I remember many memorable summers spent far away from the city, up in the mountains.
